FISHERMAN CHECK IN - SATURDAY, JUNE 20th, 6:00 A.M. at Boom Lake Landing Shelter (Hodag Park) Entry Fee $50.00 Per Fisherman
ALL FISH MUST BE CAUGHT DURING THE FOLLOWING HOURS:
- Saturday, June 20th 7:00 am to 12:00 Noon & 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm
- Sunday, June 21st 6:00 am to 12:00 Noon
All contestants must check in with the Lake Judges between these hours. Designated waters are Boom Lake and accessible rivers and lakes from Boom Lake without portage.
Determination of Awards
Prizes will be awarded on a point system. 30 Points for each legal muskie caught plus 1 Point for each 1/4 (one-quarter) inch over 34“. Penalty: Any killed muskie entered for judging will be penalized 15 points for the first 34” and 1 point per inch above 34”. All penalty points measured to the nearest inch.
PRIZES WILL BE BASED ON THE TOTAL POINTS ACCUMULATED DURING THE TWO DAYS OF FISHING.
- All decisions by Tournament Judges are final.
- Any protest will be accompanied with a $25 fee and is not refundable if protest is denied.
- All contestants and boats must comply with Wisconsin Fishing Regulations. Life jackets must be worn for morning takeoff.
- Each contestant will be given a designated numbered tag. This tag must accompany you any time you are on the water. When you finish fishing each day, you must turn your tag into the Lake Judges. All tags must be on the board by the close of fishing each day.
- All fish released must be witnessed by another boat registered in the tournament. Both boats will remain in the area 15 minutes after the muskie has been released.
- No live bait is allowed.
- Every person in the boat must be a registered contestant.
- Motor trolling is not allowed.
- All boats must have a live well or appropriate container.
- Any legal muskie unable to be revived must be brought back to the Lake Judge Area for registration.
- Registration and awards ceremony are held at the Boom Lake boat landing.
