March 7th, 2010 - Northern Pike, Walleye & Bass Season Closes with exception of Panfish (Crappie Perch & Bluegills)
May 1st, 2011 - Opening Day of Fishing ( Exception of Musky opens May 28th till November 30th)
Large and Smallmouth Bass Northern Zone Catch and Release Only from May 1st to June 19th, 2011
General Inland Trout Season
May 1st (5 a.m.) to Sept. 30th, 2011
May 28th, 2011 - Musky Fishing Opens (Northern Zone)
Free Fishing Weekend Wisconsin
Saturday and Sunday, June 4th-5th, 2011
Every year, the first consecutive Saturday and Sunday in June is designated as Free Fishing Weekend throughout the state of Wisconsin. All the waters of the state are open, including state waters of the Great Lakes and rivers bordering Wisconsin. Residents and nonresidents of all ages can fish without a fishing license (or trout or salmon stamps) over these two days.
33th Annual Curt Ebert Memorial Boom Lake Musky Tournament
June TBD 2011 - Catch and release tournament. Cash prize plus trophy for the first five places.
June 19th, 2011 to March 6th, 2012 Large and Smallmouth Bass Northern Zone Harvest
28th Annual Rhinelander Toyota Hodag Musky Challenge September 9th-11th 2011 - Catch and release tournament on five area lake families. Sponsored by Rhinelander Toyota and The Rhinelander Chamber of Commerce.
November 30th, 2011 - Musky Season Closes (Northern Zone)
